On me 2nd night here, we were a tad bit lazy and decided to rely on LUXE travel guide. It read 'Chez Patrick: This chic, panelled-wall boite melds excellent value, fine french fare and a nippy wine list'. Since its just downstairs and not practically a stone's throw away, we decided to try it out. And boy are we glad we did!! The restaurant and its french fare did not disappoint us at all!
For a 3 course dinner meal, you would pay about HKD499. For a 4 course dinner, it would cost you about HKD599.
My dinner consisted of:
Appetizer: Trio of Foie Gras Platter. They made a foie gras profiterole! It was yummy as it melted in my mouth. Then came the pan-fried foie gras terraine and the last one was a foie gras pate stuffed with figs. What a great start to dinner!
Main Course: I had the Venison with Truffle Sauce. Tender and tasty to the very last bite!
Dessert: Couldnt resist!! I chose the Orange Dark Noir Chocolate Tart. What can I say, we finished the tart in less than 5 minutes! hehe.
B's dinner consisted of:
B's appetizer: The smoked platter consisting of the foie gras and smoked salmon!
Main course: The beef tenderlion served medium rare.
Dessert: Cheese platter that was made up of 10 different types of cheese served with grapes, apples and walnuts!
If you are in HK the next time, please drop in to this divine restaurant for a quaint dinner and be pleasantly surprised! :)
