I just found this cute site: http://www.art-dept.com/illustration (thanks to Galfren's recommendation) and have been on a roll downloading all these cute illustrations for wallpaper. Now I can dress up the wallpapers on my phone! :)

This week is going to be an exciting week with the F1 just days round the corner! Other than the massive traffic build-ups and jams that it has caused so far, it will also see the return of B and Cat! Yippeee... looks like it's set to be a fun weekend with calorie-pumping action, boozing, great company and loads of high-pitched sounds to be heard from just outside the window and at the Grand-stand! Can hardly wait!

Need sleep! Last night I had a scare! My air-con went bonkers on me at the ungodly hour of 11.45pm! I had to suffer sleeping in the sweltering heat worrying that it's going to be a major problem. Turns out it was an electrical trip and I managed to resolve it in the morning.. phew! Can't imagine turning guests away!

Surf on down here to www.seaofshoes.typepad.com

Jane has got loads of style coupled with a to-die-for extensive shoe wardrobe! Oh, did I not mention she has a killer sense of style as well?! All this at a young tender age of 16! Hmm, don't really want to recall the 16 fashion horror stories that should be locked under a heavy-duty bolt never to be mentioned ever-again! haha...

Its a disease!

Quote unquote my shopping partner-in-crime in the office!! We literally have to stop each other from shopping, yet we both agree the happyness our purchases can give us when we buy things. It's bad, doesn't help that she is just sitting next to me and in between breaks, we surf on down to Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Chanel to check out the latest stuff!

Neiman Marcus is having its sale with great discounts for the designer footwear. Ooh....

(Left - Right): Tods flats that look oh so comfy for that Summer Vacation. Prada Patent Ballet Flats thats pretty enough for work. Christian Louboutin Metallic Peeptoe Flats that can jazz up any outfit! :)

e-shopping

B'cos I think I have become quite the traveler these days zipping in and out of HK and Singapore, I am on a search for a nice nifty travel wallet. One that can stores all my different frequent flyer cards, insurance cards, ID cards and MTR cards. Oh, let's not mention the different types of currencies that I can store. Ooh, plus the air tickets. You know a girl can't do without her one hundred and one bags/pouches and other organising stuff. So here I am now on a search for that perfect travel wallet.

Hmm, I can kinda imagine Cat reading this and thinking I am mad. Afterall, this is the gal that has been gracing the friendly skies for a long while. She must be thinking, 'Aiyoh, even I don't do this!'. But that's me, I can go abit overboard at times :p

Le Sports Sac has some really pretty ones. But unfortunately, the ones that I saw in HK werent that pretty. Funnily, they only had it in black and khaki. There are others that I saw previously at Muji, but I didn want that as well. Too plain...I thought.

So whilst I went a-clicking on ebay.. I found this!!! Vera Bradley Travel Wallet..... I was jumping up and down my seat in the office!!! :) And I managed to put a bid for this pretty peacock printed travel wallet and I won the bid!!! Happyness.... So now I am waiting patiently for this pretty baby to arrive. There is hope for me to organise with style when I travel! :)

I hope we have enough air-miles for us to zip in and out of HK and Singapore for now...

I hate the feeling of leaving HK. Think I must have said it umpteen times and think you must be thinking 'Get over it...get on with life'. But unfortunately, easier said than done. Just spent 5 glorious days with B. What did we do? Well, nothing unusual..took the traditional bus tram ride, and spent 12 hours of our lives watching the Celebrity Apprentice on DVD. Well, that's our lives, we are just lazy bummers.

B was very sweet, he knew that it was my holiday up and instead of just staying at home, he kept asking me whether I wanted to go out. Well, truth be told, I do want to go out and just do window-shopping. But I also know its definitely not his cup of tea. And his kindness and sweetness often gets misconstrued.... we end up arguing...but all ends well eventually!! Not to worry... ;p

Guess, we are one of those old fuddy duddy couples, just comfortable hanging out together. The best times we spent are at home, by the couch and on the bed watching TV. B is talking about a holiday in August. I have no more leave left, I think boss must be quite upset with me for taking so much leave, but I got no choice leh.. If I have to choose my personal life over work, then definitely, I will take my personal life. No one is indispensable and sacrificing my personal life over work or money is simply not worth it! So, I am actually looking forward to spending more quiet time with B come August. Think its important to just get away and just spend the time together since we are not living together for now!! :)

On a separate note, after meeting up with the shoe bud, I am once again inspired by getting new footwear...CONTROL me... haha...

And guess what? Nordstrom having their mid-year sale... here's what I am eyeing

Ballet pumps from Calvin Klein and DVF

Retro sandals from Marc by Marc Jacobs

And a tribute to all things patent... peep-toe flats by Marc Jacobs and
graduated red pumps from Stuart Weitzman

Click Picks

Guess I am on a roll on blogging again... :> Decided to start a new segment on click picks after reading this month's Smitten. Since saving the environment and going paperless is the new way to go. Thought it would be good to have a guide on-hand online and when you need stuff, you know where go look for it instead of going through old files..

So here is my first attempt on keeping an on-line guide amongst the many other things that I have attempted to keep and organise.. hehe.

Here is what you need for fuss-free catering or for days that you are stuck at home and sick of the usual delivery fare.

Desserts Galore:
>>Cupcake Culture: Girlish cupcakes are what you get from the baker. Just my cup of tea actually!! :) Customisation is available if you can come up with a creative idea.
Cost: $0.80 per mini cupcake
Minimum Order: 20 regular cupcakes or 30 mini cupcakes (order 1 week in advance)

>> Sam's Cakes and Bakes: Online bakery that boasts a one-stop solution for the health conscious. That I like... good to know that you are munching on something healthy when craving for dessert! :) Hmm, rather tempted to get the healthy carrot cakes. Sam the baker actually has a blog as well.. nice to read from time-to-time to get an idea of what to order.

Gimme food:
>> The Shepherd's Pie : For comfort food on the go, this site is definitely one to keep on hand! Great and easy food to have for those late-night movie marathons, potlucks or those impromptu poker or mahjong nights.
Cost: $22.9 per 9-inch tray
Minimum Order: At least 1 tray. Delivery in 1-2 hours time
Deliery: Free to Bedok, Tampines, Simei and Pasir Ris. Those not so lucky to live in these areas, $3-$5 for other areas.

>>Golden Pillow: Min intro this site to me! Was at her place one evening over mahjong and she ordered the mee siam, curry bun and chicken wings. I kinda like the mee siam. The dry type without the sauce...a slightly different variation from your usual bee hoon. Just sometime back, I ordered from them as I was too lazy and bored of the food available here at Costa Rhu. Decent food for mahjong parties!

So here you go..hope you enjoy the food recommendations on click picks! :)
