Here are my picks to dress up my wardrobe!

If you can seem to shake off the blues, then this Saffron floral dress from Oscar de la Renta will help you keep the summer cheers in bay! The mixture of colours on this dress completes the Park Avenue Princess look.

I like...I want.....

Chatting with fashion-savvy Cat always gets me excited! Especially when we talk about the latest fashion and what's the latest lusts and must-haves in our handbag wardrobe. She got me hooked on Balenciaga and the latest collection from this brand is now on the top of my shopping list.

Purple is always the colour to stock up for Fall/Winter. Its always on the top of every brand's coveted list of colours for the season.

My first choice: Giant Day in Sapphire
I fell in love with Balenciaga when I saw Cat touting the Giant City with the gold plated metal hardware. The metal hardware was so-so outstanding and definitive of the brand.

I got my first Balenciaga thanks to B and have been using it almost to death! Its the perfect bag for any get-up and great for travelling. It can take almost anything that you dump inside. Really, I never seen a bag that can go so well-coordinated for all my travel outfits. My Balenciaga First has travelled many a-times with me to Hong Kong, KL and have been my bestest bag companion for travelling.

I want the Giant Day cos its a tote that is travel-worthy as well. Loves the deep royal purple colour that can add that dash of glamour for my outfits!

Second choice : Giant Day in Sahara

Need to add more 'colours' to my bag wardrobe and stay away from the dark colours. So Cat suggested the Sahara colour. This natural tan vintage leather makes this bag a winner! It would be easy to pair this bag with any outfit for the day and night! The only downside? It may not be able to subject the 'torture' that I may put it through.

The Giant Day is also available in these delicious rainbow colours!

Factory outlet shopping..

B had to be 'xiong di' for Colin's wedding and I got the day off, so decided to drag galfren down to Tung Chung with me to check out the factory outlets there! Go only if you have the time, otherwise downtown shopping in Hong Kong is good enough. The array of shops at the City Gate outlets are not too bad, with a couple of major brands to boot!

Of course, my eyes widened when I reached there.. IT shops with Prada/Miu Miu shoes going at 70% off.. and not to mention the Club 21 boutique with CK and DKNY going at 70% off as well. Walked down abit further and we arrived at the Pedder Warehouse (shoes and bags GALORE!!). We spent an hour at the Pedder boutique to search for past-season's shoes. The sales assistant gave us the wrong infor and we thought all the shoes were on 50% off from the discounted price. So after picking out 3 pairs of shoes, I went off with just a Pedro Garcia black pumps that were 90% off (orginal price was HKD10,500).. pretty pleased!!! Went to the Polo Ralph boutique but too bad, the polo that I liked didn't have my size..damnit...

Next, we headed back to IT where I eventually decided to buy a grey pair of ankled boots. I paid like HKD399! Going to pair the boots for my OZ trip! :) So that about ends my trip to Tung Chung... where I scored shoes!

can't believe my luck

When B told me that HK was hit with Typhoon 8 just this week, I was thinking to myself...'Aw man, why does this always happen to me when I go HK! Someone up there doesn want me there! Hmph'

Today, the skies were grey and it was raining when I woke up..but well, helps that we are living at Pacific Place and the shopping is rather amazing just at our doorstep. Yay... the HK Super Sales are here..so we went a shopping at the different brands! But most of the good buys from the branded stores are all snapped up already. Damn it... 1 step too late!

But not too bad... I managed to get my starry starry top and dress from French Connection..yay, it was finally on SALE! And I got a nice denim skirt from Marc Jacobs...

I love SALES...I hope Baby Jane will have great SALES...

The world seems to be on sale these days.. love the surfing at home on US sites and the adding of items in my shopping bag! Best still, chatting with Cat on the phone over what we should buy, what is nice and its nice hearing her voice..cos no one shares the same passion on this topic like this gal!! Am so great I found her in one of the best shopping places in the world..TOKYO... haha...

Last night, I was bugging Cat to buy this Botkier bag with me. But she said its too small, cant put her potato chips in it.. So whilst I slept over and thought about it. This baby was gone in a wink! sobz...

Cat didnt think it was all that great..but I liked the patchwork design and also the silvertone hardware. This is the sort of bag that you can carry on the weekends and throw about just everything when you wanna head out for shopping!

Loves the bag that SJP carried in the movie of SATC... and yesterday, I actually saw the bag and tried it. Its so beauty-ful.. all sparkly and shiny.... The only downside with the bag is that the metallic bits are stuck on to the bag and it may 'snag' your chiffon clothes.

Sigh...what a pity, I really liked this bag! :)

It's mid June and I realised I haven done a 'shopping' list for this month! Hehe..so here it goes.. it may not be something new..but well, its' still on my list...

My new shopping haunt in Hong Kong....

Island Beverly

Tip 1: Go after 3pm. Shops DO NOT open anytime earlier than 1pm. After 3pm, its a safer bet, as most shops are opened by then. This place closes late though, about 11pm.

This shopping haven house many tiny shops filled with fashionable finds, trendy footwear and charming accessories. Take time to plough through the many shops and you will be sure to find some stuff.

Tip 2: Here are some shops that I think are worth visiting:
a) Shop on the first right-hand corner when you come up the escalator. They sell Marni-ish necklace.
b) Check out the shop opposite it.
c) On the 3rd floor, 4-5 shops from the escalator, nice shoes to be found.
d) On the same floor, just round the bend, Image Code sells nice dresses and scarves. Oh, Marni-ish looking necklaces can be found here as well.

I will continue to update this list if I come across anymore worthy mention shops. :) Happy shopping!

Quote unquote my shopping partner-in-crime in the office!! We literally have to stop each other from shopping, yet we both agree the happyness our purchases can give us when we buy things. It's bad, doesn't help that she is just sitting next to me and in between breaks, we surf on down to Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Chanel to check out the latest stuff!

Neiman Marcus is having its sale with great discounts for the designer footwear. Ooh....

B'cos I think I have become quite the traveler these days zipping in and out of HK and Singapore, I am on a search for a nice nifty travel wallet. One that can stores all my different frequent flyer cards, insurance cards, ID cards and MTR cards. Oh, let's not mention the different types of currencies that I can store. Ooh, plus the air tickets. You know a girl can't do without her one hundred and one bags/pouches and other organising stuff. So here I am now on a search for that perfect travel wallet.

Hmm, I can kinda imagine Cat reading this and thinking I am mad. Afterall, this is the gal that has been gracing the friendly skies for a long while. She must be thinking, 'Aiyoh, even I don't do this!'. But that's me, I can go abit overboard at times :p

Le Sports Sac has some really pretty ones. But unfortunately, the ones that I saw in HK werent that pretty. Funnily, they only had it in black and khaki. There are others that I saw previously at Muji, but I didn want that as well. Too plain...I thought.

So whilst I went a-clicking on ebay.. I found this!!! Vera Bradley Travel Wallet..... I was jumping up and down my seat in the office!!! :) And I managed to put a bid for this pretty peacock printed travel wallet and I won the bid!!! Happyness.... So now I am waiting patiently for this pretty baby to arrive. There is hope for me to organise with style when I travel! :)

I hope we have enough air-miles for us to zip in and out of HK and Singapore for now...

I hate the feeling of leaving HK. Think I must have said it umpteen times and think you must be thinking 'Get over it...get on with life'. But unfortunately, easier said than done. Just spent 5 glorious days with B. What did we do? Well, nothing unusual..took the traditional bus tram ride, and spent 12 hours of our lives watching the Celebrity Apprentice on DVD. Well, that's our lives, we are just lazy bummers.

B was very sweet, he knew that it was my holiday up and instead of just staying at home, he kept asking me whether I wanted to go out. Well, truth be told, I do want to go out and just do window-shopping. But I also know its definitely not his cup of tea. And his kindness and sweetness often gets misconstrued.... we end up arguing...but all ends well eventually!! Not to worry... ;p

Guess, we are one of those old fuddy duddy couples, just comfortable hanging out together. The best times we spent are at home, by the couch and on the bed watching TV. B is talking about a holiday in August. I have no more leave left, I think boss must be quite upset with me for taking so much leave, but I got no choice leh.. If I have to choose my personal life over work, then definitely, I will take my personal life. No one is indispensable and sacrificing my personal life over work or money is simply not worth it! So, I am actually looking forward to spending more quiet time with B come August. Think its important to just get away and just spend the time together since we are not living together for now!! :)

On a separate note, after meeting up with the shoe bud, I am once again inspired by getting new footwear...CONTROL me... haha...

Today, I was looking forward to spending it scouring the streets of Mongkok and hopefully sniffing out good buys. I have only up to tomorrow left and will be heading back home on Wed. But unfortunately, grey skies greeted me when I woke up! Damn...

Headed to the Immigration Dept to get my ID Card and realised upon reaching the MTR station, I left my mobile at home...DAMN...felt lazy to walk back...time, 11.10am, I should be able to head to the Immigration Dept, get my card and if time permits, I will go back home to get my mobile. So that's what I did! Walked back home to get my mobile again. By then, the skies were abit clearer and I thought, yay, maybe I can get some shopping down.

Met up with galfren for lunch at this Vietnamese restaurant and then went for a little shopping at Harbour City. YESH.... TORY BURCH is available in Hong Kong!! And you can get it at Lane Crawford!! But it costs HKD2500!!! But this is rather pretty..the latest offering from Tory Burch, and its real comfy as well. Mental note.. I am a 7 1/2. So if Neiman Marcus is offering this on sale, please please let me know!

In the end, I bought this Beverly Feldman bling bling shoes. So pretty and bling!! Galfren kinda convinced me to get it cos Sista and her bought it. Since we are shoe buds, I decided what the heck, okay :)

After shopping at Harbour City, galfren recommended that I check out Granville Rise (how to get there: walk along Granville Street, at Granville Circuit, turn right and just walk straight, Granville Rise building is to your left). Granville Rise apparently house little shops selling different types of apparel, shoes and jewellery (kinda like Island Beverly). I was there at about 2plus and most of the shops are not opened (those lazy buggers...quote from Luxe Travel Guide). I didnt shop much, just bought a pretty necklace!

At that point in time, I was feeling faint and suffering from a major headache. Decided to just stop shopping and head for tea with Shann at her place.

Got home at about 6, ordered take-in from Tsui Wa with B and my headache is slowly subsiding... Now am just sitting on the couch and watching Celebrity Apprentice. I just hope tomorrow will be better!

I am seeing stars

I love the Spring/Summer 08 Chanel collection which Mr Lagerfeld featured on stars. That's rather brilliant... not something that you would want to wear but the maestro actually created lovely items that are actually wearable!

Loves this Chanel starry dress. Loves the way, the tweed jacket is thrown over and how those chain necklaces completed the look! But let's face it, I am not going to fork out tonnes of dollars to pay for a Chanel dress....so here's the other brands that offer the same starry fashion pieces a friendly price.

French Connection has a small collection of jersey dresses and tops. I am quite tempted to actually get the dress!! But wonder if its' a little too much. Maybe I will end up with just a top.

Topshop has a collection of starry dresses, blouses and tops. I dunno whether its available in Singapore. But if its on the shelves, go check it out!

So, be a star this Summer and be seen in the right trend! :)

Hongkong Shopping...

Woke up early to run errands..amazingly what I thought would take me 2 hours, took me 30 mins to get done. So with time on my hand, I went home to stone a while before meeting B for lunch. Thereafter, I hung around Central before meeting up with Shann and her friend for shopping at Mongkok. Wow, I was bowled over with the bargains!

Got a pair of soft white LAMBSKIN shoes for a steal of HKD385! They look comfy and pretty as well. On the right is a vintage looking LAMBSKIN olive green bag for only HKD 400 only. They used to have it in purple (next season's hottest colour) but unfortunately that was sold out. So I settled for the olive green one.

Got 3 cardigans for a steal of HKD 150 = SGD 30. Thats' really a bargain!!! :)

Next time, I am making a stop at Arglye Centre (I think), exit D2 from Mongkok MTR station for some great deals!
