はじめて 新しい どころ

Met up with Dice and Makiko-san for dinner this evening. We went to Charlie's Corner at Changi Village. Yummy Fish and Chips for $12.90 and that place also has one of the largest selection of international beers for a marketplace! So go there if you are ever around the area. I wanted to take pics of the food but hungry hippo B just gobbled up his fish and chips when it got served. So after that, I didnt think it was necessary to take anymore pictures! hehe...

After that, B brought us all to OOSH. One of the 'hip and happening' wine places at Dempsey Road. The ambiance was like stepping into a bar in a resort, with all that lush greenery and soothing spa music playing in the background.

I tried taking some pictures, but the flash on my camera kinda 'destroyed' whatever mood that you would get if you go to OOSH..so here are some pics that I managed to find.

The food menu actually looks quite tempting but we were too stuffed to eat anything more. Oh but the desserts look rather yummy. I would have eaten the yuzu sherbet but I am paying more attention to my calories...arh..so no sweets for me :( Oh but be warned, the wines here are not one of the cheapest on the block along Dempsey.

For one of the most affordable tepanyaki places in Tokyo, I guess "Ya-Sai Ya" has to be it!! For the past couple of weeks, been there 3 times upon rave reviews from Cat.

Anyhows, went there with B last week after our very tipsy farewell parteee at Heartlands. Ooh pics from that farewell party where we had so much drinks!

After that, our tummies were growling so I brought B to Yasai Ya for some late night dinner cum supper. In his drunken stupor, we had managed to order the following:

Succulent Scallops and Juicy Prawns! Soft melt-in-your-mouth Foie Gras! Tender Japanese Beef Steak!

The whole bill came up to about 11k for the 2 of us. Thats pretty worth considering that Tepanyaki dinners are usually alot more. :)
