On the eve of my departure, we decided to try this Northern Chinese restaurant around Peel Street: Shui Hu Ju. It was one of the restaurants listed under Luxe Travel Guide and we were rather bowled over by the fancy website that it had, so we decided to just give it a shot and try it.Dishes reminded us of Xi Yan type of cuisine, sorta fusion. I think its a place where the Caucasians will enjoy. We were the only Asians there, we were probably sticking out like a sore thumb! ;p
This red chilli dish was the highlight for the dinner! Underneath this mountain of chilli, it was fried black chicken! A really spicy dish that is well paired with refreshing Tsing Tao Beer.
