the wide leg look

Skinny jeans are out this season whilst the wide-leg jeans make its way into my wardrobe! Am so pleased I caught on the slouchy trend a couple of months back in Japan. This trend is starting to catch on here in Singapore. So I am on the hunt for wide-leg pants to wear to work.

Initially, I was rather afraid of the trend, afraid cos I was worried that it may look me bigger. But actually, the look is figure-flattering and its so easy to wear. Here are some looks that I am currently exploring.

For work: Pair sharp-tailored denim with a well-fitted shirt or a jacket. Perk up the outfit with patent pumps and with the right handbag, the right amount of chic is not hard to achieve.

For casual outings: Whether it is lunch with the girls or a casual outing with friends, take your dark blue wide leg jeans with a satin blouse, leather flats and a purse. To add a little more jazz, put on a chunky charm bracelet.

For chilly nights: Since I won't get to enjoy the coming of Fall, I can try this look on cold days when I travel. Pair wide leg jeans with an over-sized sweater, a roomy tote and finish off the look with a pair of Mary Jane's.

Night out on the town: Take a look that can bring you from day to night. The shoes make all the difference, so make sure you put on your best metallic heels and reflective jewellery.
