It was an afternoon filled with tons of hard-selling!! The day was wet and we were actually afraid of the poor turnout. Turned out, there was like 120 over stores crammed at PowerStation for the Wardrobe Raids sale. So we were armed with our hanging mobiles and 4 china-bags worth of clothes and other random stuff. We spent about 2 hours setting up the clothes and all. Poor us were placed in a dingy corner with poor lighting. But perhaps turned out to be a blessing in disguise as we shamelessly took over the walkway and just placed our stuff all over the walkway! :p
We did pretty ok..managed to reduce our 4 bags to 2 at the end of the 4-hour duration sale. I was hoping to clear more of the $2 stuff but turns out people there were just not very interested. What moved were our branded stuff and amazingly the winter-wear! Imagine my Miss Selfridge winter coat went for a mere $20..thats cheap cheap!! And though I sneaked off a while to check out the other stores, I must give myself a pat on the back for not succumbing to temptation and get more impulse buys! :p
Thanks for all who turned up.. Johnson for the yummy egg-tarts, Sary & Peggimon!! :)
Cousin and I hope to do more of such sales...just to clear our stock! hehe.. so if anyone knows of such 'lobang' cum 'lelong' sales ..do tell ...
After our day-long of sales, we decided to treat ourselves to some Japanese grub at Shin Kushiya.
I was supposed to document our extensive dinner but we were caught up with chatting and eating the food when it was served. So this was all I could capture! Food at Shin Kushiya was not bad. Of course, cannot be compared to the Japanese Yakitori that we had in Tokyo, but it was acceptable. Most of the yakitori was flavored with terriyaki instead of salt. I guess the way to tell if the yakitori is authentic if its grilled to perfection with salt. Simple but tasty!
Oh but I must comment on the desserts. They truly are yummy!!! I think its better than the ones I had in Tokyo, cos its all prettily garnished. I like the matcha ice-cream!! It came with this mochi that was served warm. The warm mochi coupled with the matcha ice-cream was a heavenly combo.
Okie..thats all I have for today... am a tad-bit worn out but satisfied!! :)
