30せいのたんじょおび

So on 29 Sept, I was officially inducted into the Forever 30s' club. It has been one hella weekend starting from Fri with B showering and lavishing me with surprises galore. Feel so loved!!

We kick-start Fri with a dinner at Il Lido. It was our first time but the place came highly recommended for Italian cum French infused cuisine. B had the set dinner whilst I opted for 2 dishes from the ala-carte menu.

Us waiting for our table. Our dinner reservation was at 9.15pm. And when we went into the restaurant, it was still bustling with tons of people giving the 'muacks muacks' to other familiar faces. What a sight! We saw some famous faces as well.

My Scallops Appetizer with mashed potato. It was succulent and yummy. Main was the Duck Confit with Aged Pear Sauce. It was superb and a rather huge portion. As for dessert, we shared that molten chocolate cake! :)

B had the 5 course set menu. First up was the foie gras, loved it totally! Next was the lobster angel-hair pasta that we shared. B's main course was the steak done to perfection specially for him. The last 2 courses were dessert and coffee/tea. B's course came up to about 90 if I am not wrong, which wasnt too bad from the amount of food that you get to enjoy.

Saturday, I was woken up at 830am to start off the day bright and early with a surprise Asian spa retreat at Spa Botanica in Sentosa. We were totally 'spa-ded'! Haha..basically we checked in at 10am and didnt leave the place till about 4pm.

Thereafter, we went to One degree 15 for the opening festival. It was free food galore and lusting over sailing boats. I just like this Hugo Boss sailing boat. I think its got quite a character.

And because B planned the entire day jam-packed with specific things to do at specific times, we had to keep close to his schedule! :) Rushed home to get ourselves dressed up for dinner. Been wanting to try the restaurant at the Majestic Bar, and finally got the chance :)

Dinner was another calorie busting affair with tons of seafood this time round. We had the Majestic Appetizer Platter that consisted of Foie Gras, Peking Duck and Prawn with Wasabi Mayonnaise. Yumz... it wasnt that expensive as well at $15 per platter. Next up was abalone with tofu. The tofu was silky soft and tell me who doesnt like abalone? I didnt get to take pictures of the fish and the mee sua pic that I took wasnt all that fantastic, so am skipping that. I was impressed that they gave us a dragonfruit sherbet to clear our palette after we had the fish dish. Totally pro. haha..

Me attempts at cam-whoring as captured by B.

And to end of my day, it was a night of mad fun with dear friends and family... with tons of alcohol, the rest of the night was a blur but extremely fun night for me!

First few guests for the night. Fave gals of mine...Marz and cousin Vivian. The pressie they got me, I totally loved it and didnt expect for surprise no 2! THANKS THANKS GALS & GUYS.

Next up..fave galfrens of mine. Starting with Princess no 1 and my Sista!

Queen of the Princesses.. Jenn!

And Princess Min for being my pillar of support through the many many years! :)

Oh, we are missing another princess...galfren Sharon who is coming back mid-Oct.

My birthday cupcakes!! Arent they pretty? And small enough for just a bite! haha...

Thats the killer shooter that had me going on a high buzz for the rest of the evening. Its called 3 fairies but it wasnt fairies that I saw thereafter! It had a burning sensation after downing it. So I had to drink loads of cold water to cool off whilst B laughed at the background! hmph

Presents Galore.. erm didnt grab too many shots thereafter, got emotional after I opened Min's pressie. It was so sweet of her and her Lord. A robo vacuum cleaner!! Can you imagine that? Well, she knows I dun like doing housework and being a Domestic Princess that I am, housework is still something that I dread, so she bought me this magnificent machinery to ease up workload and reserve more time for martinis! Haha... thanks BABE..i really love you for being so thoughtful! I named my robo vacuum VIVI and it is now recharging for another hardworking session to come.

The other pressies that I received were all gifts from the heart from my dear friends. Its amazing and I loved every one of them! Perhaps as one grow olders, the desire for presents become not very great. I was just very very happy for them to share this day with me.

And just when we thought the night was ending. I dragged the rest of the group in my drunken stupor for more mad fun of karoking at Next Page Bar. I was hogging the mike for the whole evening whilst Jason was still trying to get me drunk. Min sang with me, whilst Sista cheered on. She is sticking to her guns of not singing and I guess it would prob take a long time before I can hear her belt a tune over the mike!

So thats the end of my celebration, happy buzzed campers headed home and woke up the next morning feeling STONED! But went to church nevertheless to thank God for the blessings throughout the year!

After mass, went to Cafe Oliv along Joo Chiat Road. Its good great food at affordable prices. Yummy appetizers, great pastas and main courses are what you can find. Our family practically ate up the entire menu. Check out my sleepy, zonked out face! haha

So thats it, a BIG SHOUTOUT TO DARLING B for planning a wonderful birthday celebration and to all my frens and family for just being here for me! LOVES Y'ALL! *muacks*
