Woot woot... I can finally post pictures on Blogger....phew.. I was getting quite frustrated for a while.
To continue with Day 2, we went to Hinode Park after Farm Tomita. More lavender fields. The entire town is just sprawling with lavender fields. Its like tons and tons of them which was perfect for me cos when you get out of the car, the first thing that hits you is the aromatic smell of the flowers! :)

Thats me attempting to jump but our digi-cam shutter speed not fast enough.

Next stop was 大雪山 (Mount Tokachidake). This mountain is one of the few active volcanoes in Hokkaido. Surrounded by rare alpine plants, the views are truly magnificent at the top. Unfortunately, we are probably the only people in our Haviannas throughout the entire trip. Therefore, totally not recommended for any mountain climbing. I only made it to the base of the mountain..hehe

Thereafter, our tummies were growling so we went for some Yakiniku. Erm not recommended in this heat but the restaurant was recommended b'cos of the views, we decided to head there.

After lunch, we went to the ふらのCheese Factory. That black thing below is Cheese with Squid Ink. I know its probably sounds and looks revolting. But its actually very yummy! I would have bought some back home to Tokyo except that we are moving in less than 2 weeks time so I doubt we can finish all that cheese.

Last stop for the day..we visited this lonesome house located in the heart of the forest. Well, the house was made entirely out of wood and another one was made with stones. The stone house even had its own onsen. Thats pretty cool! Except that you would have to manually start the fire and wait for the water to be heated before submerging in the onsen.
