Summer Holiday.....(part 1)

Just spent 8 glorious days on sunny Honolulu, Hawaii....was a lovely lovely holiday!
The sun, the sea and the landscape was just mighty fine....

So be prepared for a looooooong entry on our whimsical adventure around and about Hawaii..

Dun worry, will make it painless and have more pictures dumping...haha....

Arrival in Hawaii on Sat morning at 930am, went to collect our rented car from Budget and then its off to some sightseeing...


Went to Ala Moana Shopping Centre...which is HUGE.... tons of shops all over.. but we headed straight for lunch at Bubba Gump restaurant. Yes, thats the restaurant that was featured in Forrest Gump the movie. They had interesting movie bytes around the restaurant.


Grumpy B! Cause he hasnt slept throughout the entire 7 hour flight.. but he looked thrilled having to play with his PING PONG BAT and chomping on the loads of shrimp.

Thereafter, we checked into our budget hotel : Aqua Spa (only USD $80 per night but located along right in front of Waikiki Street..about 10 mins walk away) and just CRASHED...was super tired.. After we slept the entire afternoon away, it was off for dinner at Dukes...

The next day, we went to check out Chinatown but it kinda reminded us of Bras Basah..pretty sad. So we decided to spend the rest of the afternoon by hanging out at the Ala Moana Beachfront...the beaches are to die-for...so lovely...see see..

After sun-bathing, we decided to head to Ward Centre..on our way there, we saw this lovely rainbow..

Dinner was settled at Dixie's Chicks..more American grub..

Dessert was a take-away from the infamous The Cheesecake Factory..yumz...
Tons of flavours to choose from..and we decided upon Lemon Raspberry Cheesecake..
I took 1/3 of the cake while B was 'forced' to finish the rest..hahaha...

blog later...am nursing a bad flu and throat..sigh
