Kyoto Sanjo-Ohashi & Sky Aquarium

This is a super old post but well I had to write this down.

Tokyo Mid-Town boasts quite a good selection of desserts for those with a sweet-tooth. Having starved myself of lunch, decided to treat myself to a traditional Japanese dessert the weekend that Tokyo was 'under attack' by the Typhoon.

Check it out... we had to queue for about 30 mins before we were let in. B was super patient with me already, he usually would just frown if I had suggested to queue before he ever had his lunch.

~Me at the back of the queue.. The queues for this dessert place are extremely long everyday. I have hardly seen it empty the past few times that I went Midtown. Me finally in the front of the queue...Phew~

Sunday was spent weathering more winds and rains. But we went to catch Harry Potter. After that, we decided to go to the Sky Aquarium Exhibition at Roppongi Hills. It was really good... Despite the skies being all grey and weary, the bright fishes in the uber-sleek fish tanks made up for it. This must be one of the best Aquarium Exhibits that I have been to. B said that some of the fishes and marine life being exhibited is so hard to find and rare. But obviously he seen most of it, since he has been diving like many many times.. So it was good that he could explain the names of the fishes. I was just interested in Nemo, and the lovely fish tanks. They even had one with a chandelier in the fish tank. I am NOT kidding!

So if you are around Tokyo during this time, go catch the exhibition. I think it finishes around end August or early September. Whilst up there, you can have a special cocktail by Perrier and take in the breath-taking view of Tokyo without having to go to Tokyo Tower. Kills 2 birds with 1 stone!
