If you are a lover of all things sweet and divine, you would have to check out Takano at Shinjuku. Went there a couple of months to celebrate the completion of Japanese Basic 1 with my classmates and boy was I amazed by the queue as well as the wide selection of fruits!! Had to wait like close to 1 1/2 hours before we could get a seat. And even though this was a buffet, they gave us like a 1 1/2 hours timing for us to quickly gobble and finish up the food.
Cost of buffet : 2500 yen (before tax)
They have 2 sections, the hot and the cold. The hot serving section consisted mainly of salads, soups, sandwiches, quiches, spaghetti and omelette rice or pizza. The cold section had all these yummy small cakes, fruits and ice-cream. The desserts come in small portions, just nice for an individual to taste and try.
The best thing about this buffet is that they change their dessert menu monthly depending on the fruit of the month. And this month being the CHERRY season, I just saw that there will be tons of cherry flavored sweets. Oooh, I cant wait for next month too, its MOMO (peach) season!! I think I may just go there one more time before leaving Tokyo.
