Chicken Nabe

Went out with a couple of B's colleagues last night for a late dinner at this 'Rare Chicken' Nabe place.

Name : やまとなでしこ
Tel : 03-3476-7045
Add : Around Ebisu, Exit 2 by Metro (see map)

The restaurant is pretty cosy and I reckon cannot take more than like 30 patrons at a time. But we
had a late dinner, so the dinner crowd sort of eased out by the time we got there. There are a couple of set course menus that you can order. But we ordered one of the basic ones. Quite a good deal : 3,900 yen for about 8 different dishes.

According to our friend who has been studying Japanese for several years, the restaurant's specialty is this rare chicken which had apparently become 'extinct' but somehow, someone managed to 'cross-breed' the chicken and ta-da.... we are now able to have a rare taste of it! hahah...oh, and the chicken can live up to 100 days before its slaughtered and it approximately weighs like 7kg! Heavy!!!!

Presenting our magnificent dinner!!

(L-R: me goofing around, our yummy Summer starters, 'Nama' Grapefruit Soda, Thick steamy chicken broth steamboat)

My pictures dont exactly do justice to the food...so I managed to find this more mouth-watering inducing pic! :p

As you can see the broth is definitely thicker than the normal chicken soups that are usually being served. A good source of comfort food especially when you are down.

Or another highlight is the cool gadgety toilet! The buttons are like this cool IPOD player. And you can select the music that you wish to hear. haha..funneee.....
